Big News: Expanded Dental Coverage Is Here Soon!
At Evolve Dental Studio, your smile is our passion—and we're excited to share some game-changing news that could help millions of Canadians get the dental care they need.
The Government of Canada has announced a major expansion of the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), making it easier than ever for uninsured adults to access essential dental treatments, including cleanings, exams, fillings, and even dentures.
What’s New with the CDCP?
The CDCP was created to help Canadians who don’t have private dental insurance—and it’s already making a big impact. So far:
- Over 3.4 million people have been approved
- 1.7 million Canadians have already received dental care through the program
- And now, all remaining eligible adults aged 18 to 64 will soon be able to apply!
Important Dates to Remember
Applications open in May 2025, and coverage begins as early as June 1, 2025. Here’s when different age groups can apply:
- May 1 – Ages 55 to 64
- May 15 – Ages 18 to 34
- May 29 – Ages 35 to 54
Do You Qualify?
You may be eligible for the CDCP if:
- You don’t have private dental insurance
- You’ve filed your 2024 tax return (and your spouse/partner has too, if applicable)
- Your adjusted family net income is under $90,000
- You’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Applying is Easy
You’ll be able to apply online, by phone, or by visiting a Service Canada Centre. The government is making the process simple—and will even send reminders to help you stay on top of it.
